The Sentinel - Monday 19th March
2007 - Statin Therapy
You
may have read The Sentinel this week
and seen the report by Dr Butler on
'statin' therapy. We were
previously aware of his views on
this, and know that his claims are
not possible to validate so have not
been concerned by them.
We have received a reply from our
PCT which we thinks explains things
well.
We attach it for your information.
The
bottom line is that we are confident
that the statin therapies you may
be taking are safe and appropriate
to your individual conditions, so
please
don't worry over these reports.
We are happy to speak with you
individually if you wish to discuss
things
further, but hope that the attached
document clarifies everything nicely
for
you.
